Our Values

124 on Queen Hotel and Spa Values

Welcome to 124 on Queen Hotel and Spa. We believe that every guest is special and deserves an exceptional experience. We strongly believe in inclusivity and equality, accessibility, sustainability and supporting local. We have a strong value system that carries through to our entire property and to our incredible team. Our values guide everything we do, from the services we offer to the way we treat our guests.

Inclusivity and Equality

Every person who enters our property is treated with dignity, respect, and kindness. We welcome guests from all backgrounds and cultures, and we strive to create an environment where everyone feels respected and valued. From weddings to spa treatments, we offer a wide variety of experiences to make everyone feel right at home. We have a gender-neutral bathroom, wedding packages for every type of couple, bach parties, and so much more. Our wedding team also has its Equally Wed Pro Certification. We invite you to join us for a memorable and welcoming stay.

Sustainability

Niagara-on-the-Lake is an agricultural community, and we deeply respect our environment and our town. When we went through our expansion in 2022, we consulted with environmental agencies to help us with the design to ensure that we limited our carbon footprint. Sustainability was a key factor in our customer experience and the overall design of our resort. Our property features:

  • A live green roof over our underground parking lot featuring a zen garden
  • Motion-sensed LED lighting throughout the resort
  • Locally sourced farm-to-table produce and sustainably sourced seafood
  • Native pollinator species planted across the property
  • Recycled bamboo guestroom key cards
  • Charitable donations of hotel items
  • Onsite rainwater harvesting
  • Complimentary bikes for guest use
  • Re-useable aluminum water bottles and filtered water dispensed throughout the resort
  • EV charging stations for guests
  • annual participation in local women’s shelter for food and supplies
  • Two beehives in our Zen Garden to help pollinate and support all of the local plants

Supporting Local

The Niagara region is home to so many talented farmers, winemakers, artisans and artists. We are committed to making a positive impact on our community and are proud to support local businesses. Our guests will be treated to handcrafted goods, local produce and wines and specially curated one-of-a-kind experiences. Our two restaurants, for example, are driven by the farm-to-table philosophy of seasonality, sustainability and showcasing the very best ingredients from the region.

The main corridor of our hotel is an immersive art experience featuring local artists curated by Tanya Jean Peterson, such as Dr. Ron Clavier and Jordan Morrison. We are also proud members of The Niagara-On-The-Lake Chamber of Commerce and The Greater Niagara Chamber of Commerce and active partners with Niagara Tourism.

Excellence

Excellence is our priority and our mission. We strive to provide our guests with the most remarkable stays, exceptional service and memories to last a lifetime. Our commitment to excellence is showcased through the details of the resort:

  • Our own brand of ultra-comfortable mattresses made by Stearns & Foster
  • Nespresso machines and Tea Forté© premium teas
  • Our signature blue robes in all guestrooms

Accessibility

We are committed to ensuring that all guests, regardless of ability, have equal access to our facilities and services. We strive to provide a welcoming and inclusive environment that accommodates the diverse needs of our guests. Our goal is to make everyone feel safe, secure, and comfortable. Our hotel features:
