All your linens, napkins & chairs can be chosen through Simply Beautiful - our vendor for all your decor needs.

We have an extensive vendor list of phenomenal local bakers we highly recommend! Be sure to check them out when deciding where to get your cake.

We don’t charge a cake-cutting fee! We only have an additional cost if you ask that our chef cut and present the cake and be served individually as a dessert. If not, it’s free just to have our team present it with your late-night menu.

You can hire whomever you would like! However, we have a referral list that we highly recommend when booking vendors.

A Day Of Coordinator is a great gift to give yourself if your budget allows it. Your Venue Coordinator will be setting up the room, greeting your vendors and coordinating the service and kitchen teams.

A Month Of/Day Of Coordinators will assist you with your entire day-of timeline beginning from the moment you open your eyes until your head hits the pillow at the end of the best day ever. They will be available to you all day for those unexpected requests, and help with bouquets, boutonnieres and bustling. They are your Side-Kick for the day.

We don’t offer any security services - this is something you would have to source outside of our company.

We ask the vendors to start setting up anytime after 2 pm. This is flexible, depending on other circumstances.

We ask that you appoint a card and gift treasurer to bring gifts back to your hotel room through the night. We can accompany them, however, we ask that you delegate that task to a close friend or family member.

In terms of decor, we ask that you pick up anything you’d like to keep from the day before the following day before 10 am as we have other events in the space that may be taking place.

We do not have any microphones, and our sound system depends on the venue. Please make sure to note with your live band or DJ to bring sound equipment, including microphones.

In Niagara-on-the-Lake, a noise bylaw is effective from 11 pm. If anyone needs to step outside after this time, we ask that they be mindful of our nearby neighbours.

We offer complimentary parking to those guests who have booked a hotel room on our property (one parking spot per room). If you have guests seeking other accommodation we have Johnson Street (parallel to Queen Street) where all parking is free.

Both taxis and ridesharing apps are available in Niagara-on-the-Lake but can be expensive on weekends depending on your drop-off location.

At The Gate House, we have one men's and one Woman's washroom available, and both are fully accessible.

Hotel room accommodations are available and will be coordinated for your guests to reserve. We also provide nightly group rates for your convenience.

The Gate House is a fully accessible venue. We also have accessible guestrooms available as well.

Further on in the planning process, we will send you a document that you will fill in indicating individual guest entree selections and any dietary/allergies. We will then make a note of any dietary restrictions for our team.

We are a non-smoking property, so we ask all guests to make their way to the sidewalk if they wish to smoke.

We will communicate primarily through email. We recommend you create a “wedding couple” email so you can both be kept in the loop and keep all information in one place!

Depending on your venue, we have a patio and a courtyard available that can be integrated into your cocktail hour.
